Follow the money

For years now we've had global warming climate change global climate disruption rammed down our throats by the government in its attempts to get us to stump up for something we neither need nor want. The government and ministers with interests in energy scam renewable energy schemes have taken us to the cleaners to the point where so called energy poverty is a major factor in most peoples lives. They have driven many to the point in a cold winter of having to decide whether to stay warm or eat. people have died from hypothermia as the vulnerable in our society have been culled by various government ministers and their attempts to make themselves rich by using taxpayers money to subsidise companies and organisations they are on the board of or in the case of the boy Clegg, his Mrs.
Mail.
Like all MPs, Tim Yeo is paid £65,000 a year. But he never has to make do with just that. Last year alone, three ‘green’ companies paid the Conservative MP for South Suffolk £135,970.
For this, he usually did just a few hours’ work a month. Yet he may be the firms’ most valuable asset, as Mr Yeo is chairman of the Commons Select Committee on Energy and Climate Change, and so plays a key role in shaping the green economy in which his sometime employers – AFC Energy, Eco City Vehicles and TMO Renewables – operate.
And he may be about to perform his most valuable service yet.
Mr Yeo has moved an extraordinary amendment to the Energy Bill that would set a crippling and binding target for the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by generating power in 2030. It would transform the electricity industry and bring huge benefits to the business sector, which has so generously rewarded Mr Yeo.
For the rest of us, however, the effects will be very different. It will cause already high energy bills to soar further and could lead to more power cuts. The effect on business is likely to be even more dramatic.
Yet despite the considerable drawbacks, the amendment is likely to be passed into law. Following intense campaigning by an alliance of dozens of green pressure groups and renewable-energy firms, the move has won the support of Labour, many backbench Liberal Democrats and some Tories, which may be enough to push it through Parliament.
‘Even without the amendment, the long-term consequences of the Bill will be horrible,’ said Professor Gordon Hughes of Edinburgh University, one of Britain’s leading experts on energy economics. He issued a strong warning the ‘surreal’ amendment could spell the end of British industry. ‘It’s a recipe for deindustrialisation,’ he said.
Yet I doubt Tim Yeo gives a flying fart as to whether there are no jobs left or that people will die because of his greed, he'll be alright living it up somewhere warm whilst this country goes down the tube, most of those involved in the scam will. The enviroloons won't mind either, their end game is a massive population die down and a return to a medieval economy where a rich elite lords it over an impoverished masses who struggle to survive, but at least it will be a green economy. Pity that Brazil, China and India won't play the game, but at least they can wreck this country as an example to others of allowing an idea with no basis in truth, sanity or reality to take root in the minds of an avaricious elite.
There is no global warming, there never was other than the feverish imaginations of enviroloons seeking funding and power. Well they found a good match with UK politicians who saw the fear factor as a way of making lots of money.
They even know the game is up, but are determined to milk us for a few more years. One day I hope we'll have them in our power, I have my doubts though, like rats, they always know when to leave the ship. The ones we'll get will be the fall guys and that will never be enough...

You're welcome to it...

Apparently the Scots are in love with the EU regarding it as some sort of paradise compared to what they consider to be English rule (not all Scots by any means) That there isn't really any English rule and the Scots have far more control over their country than the English do doesn't appear to matter to the person making this statement...
Telegraph.
Scotland is a pro-European nation that rejects David Cameron’s referendum on wresting back powers from the EU, Nicola Sturgeon has told an audience in Brussels.
The Deputy First Minister said Scots are far less sceptical of Europe than the English and pledged that a separate Scotland would be “proud and constructive partners in the European family”.
She said the Prime Minister was “sleepwalking towards the exit” from Europe by promising an in-out EU referendum after he negotiates the repatriation of some powers back to the UK. Speaking to an audience that included representatives of countries like Andorra and Montenegro, but none of the major powers like Spain or Germany, she admitted for the first time Scotland's EU membership cannot be taken "for granted". But she faced accusations of departing from reality after claiming a separate Scotland could negotiate membership within only 16 months, while at the same time obtaining special treatment on the euro and the UK’s £3 billion rebate. Her statements on Scottish attitudes to the EU partly clashed with an opinion poll published earlier this month, which found 58 per cent of people backed the EU referendum planned for 2017 and 36 per cent are opposed.
Well that last bit seems to make the statement appear to be a bit of wishful thinking on Sturgeon's part, though in this she's actually toeing the SNP party line in that rule by England = bad, rule by Brussels = good. This is despite having their own parliament (which is more than the English have) as well as more control over what happens to their countrymen and women (ditto)
Frankly if the SNP want to go their own way most English would cheer them on, if they want to take our place in the EU we'd no doubt assist them in doing so. Problem is, most English cannot see them doing so, but we hope. Perhaps if the SNP had allowed the English a vote as to whether we wanted to keep Scotland, the referendum on independence might have been a foregone conclusion.
It does rather strike me that the SNP's narrative vis the English seems to be more a figment of their own imaginings, most of us have far more contempt of Westminster than they do seeing it as British rule of the English nation. Certainly the MP's elected there don't seem to go out of their way to look after the largest nation.
Still I suppose it's a case of the big lie theory. Keep pushing the English = bad and no doubt some will believe it, certainly the number of violent attacks on the English by Scots as well as casual bigotry by some would appear to indicate that hate is a stronger binding factor than persuasion.
Still it might be the ultimate act of revenge by the English on the Scots, pushing through their membership of the EU as we get out.

No, they won't

Cameron was interviewed today trying to appear tough on immigration, which is admittedly what we want to hear, though sadly I suspect words and actions will not match up.
Telegraph.
In an interview with the Daily Express, the Prime Minister said he wants to ban migrants from being able to automatically receive legal aid in cases involving benefits, housing and other civil claims. Mr Cameron this month said he want to completely overhaul the benefits system for migrants after saying that he believes the current system does not pass the “simple common sense test”. The Prime Minister said he has asked Chris Grayling, the Justice Secretary, to create a new “residency test” designed to ensure migrants are not given instant access to legal aid in civil court cases. Mr Cameron said: “We’re a fair country and a welcoming country, but not a soft touch. Let’s make sure that ours is the toughest country instead of the softest.” “I think there is more we can do,” he added. “One of the aspects that we are reaching fairly early conclusion on is that we can no longer grant legal aid to non-UK nationals or for civil cases, people who are facing housing cases or benefit cases.
The problem is, the non UK nationals he's talking about are mostly EU citizens and we can't (under EU law) treat them any different to our own otherwise they go to the courts and our judges turn around and tell the government to do it anyway.
The only way to reclaim control over our borders is to tell the EU to take a running jump and there's no way in hell Cameron will do this as he's in love with the damned corrupt edifice and believes we should stay in no matter how badly they treat us.
It's always the same with him, he says things he knows the EU will not let him do, it sounds good on tv but in reality he simply does not have the power to overrule Brussels directives nor the political will to even try. The man is simply Brussels's puppet here to do what they want and ensure ever closer union despite a lot of people here being hell bent on stopping this and removing ourselves from the EU totally. That's why he talks tough on certain issues, that and attempting to get re-elected one day to carry on with the good work of the EU, though as Millipede E is a staunch EU supporter that's not too important to the bureaucrats of Brussels's.
So, just another interview spouting hot air on a subject he can't do anything about.
Nothing new then.

The cost of leadership

Seems the boy Clegg is in a bit of a Pickle (and not the Eric kind) over the fact that he ordered an investigation into a sex pest and then apparently did nothing despite further offences by said pest...
Mail. (Usual caveats)
Nick Clegg's leadership of the Liberal Democrats was called into question today, as the party's president said it had 'screwed up' the handling of sex assault claims against Lord Rennard.
Mr Clegg today insisted he had 'nothing to hide', after dramatically changing his story over what he knew about allegations made by women against Lord Rennard, the party's former chief executive.
The Lib Dems face accusations of a ‘classic cover-up’ after Mr Clegg admitted he has known for five years that Lord Rennard faced 'indirect and non-specific' claims of molesting women.
In a stunning about-face, Mr Clegg said he asked his chief of staff, Danny Alexander, to probe ‘concerns about Chris Rennard’s conduct’ in 2008.
The Deputy Prime Minister conceded he accepted the denials of the then Lib Dem chief executive at face value and allowed him to retire on health grounds a year later.
It may well be that he actually did know nothing, though that begs the question of why not? After all, it does seem to be something that pretty much everyone else in the party knew about or had alluded too. Clegg even knew about the indirect and non-specific concerns as he did order an investigation, though why he should change his story he has yet to give reasons for. Some of the more unkind people reading between the lines would suspect that Clegg knew very well what Rennard was and was trying to to do with any female unfortunate enough to come within his grasp. Or perhaps that's everyone except the Lib Dem leadership who seem to be complicit in trying to avoid the glare of bad publicity that such a revelation would bring.
Perhaps now lessons will be learned and any other sex pests within the Lib Dems (and other parties) will be rooted out and dealt with. This seems to be unlikely though, whilst I don't believe that power corrupts, I do believe it attracts the easily corruptible.
Perhaps we should just stick to plan A and hang them all during and after the inevitable revolution...

Vive la différence

Definitely a game of two halves, though sorry for parroting a football cliché.
England 23 : 13 France though anyone who'd simply watched the first half would have thought it a travesty as France dominated the early stages with a strong pack and some breathtaking running skills. England did hold their own in the kicking department though as Owen Farrell kept England in contention despite a brilliant French try. The sheer power of the French pack had England knocked back on their heels and it was a very different France who had failed in their previous two Six nations attempts against Italy and Wales.Indeed England were extremely fortuitous to hold the score to a one point deficit at half time to England 9 : 10 France.
And then, and then...
It was the difference in the strength of the two sides coupled by some bizarre substitutions by France taking off some of their better players and bringing on others who took them back to the previous two match indiscipline and lack of coordination. This along with some 'lucky' refereeing decisions in England's favour meant that it was England who totally dominated the second half and drove the French back on their heels with a try and three conversions two of whom came from Toby Flood who replaced the injured Owen Farrell. It was this strength in depth where England could replace like for like that put France to the sword, despite the French having a more talented initial starting line drawn from their domestic sides who are currently dominating the Heineken cup and with good reason.
In the end the score did not do France justice on their first half performance, but, overall it did underline the strength that England can bring to bear as the minutes tick by and tired bodies and minor injuries necessitate the interchanging of players. France were undone by a lack of strength in depth and at the end it showed as their discipline slipped and a series of unforced errors kept them well away from England's 22.
I doubt Italy will stand in much better stead in two weeks time at Twickenham, though stranger things have happened. Wales though at the Millennium Stadium in three weeks, that I think will decide just whether this England side will have a decent chance in the up and coming world cup...

When in a hole...

Stop digging.
So, the UK has lost its treasured AAA credit rating mostly because the morons who purport to rule us don't have the balls to stop spending and trim the budget to suit our means. Of course you have the likes of the moronic BBC and various others of the hard of thinking (AKA the liberal left) who are blaming the governments 'austerity' measures though how they equate austerity to increased levels of borrowing is beyond me, but as I said, they are the hard of thinking and I have to presume that they believe that robbing future generations to maintain their lifestyles is a price worth paying and the future generations problem.
BBC.
Labour has attacked the government's economic policy after the UK lost its AAA credit rating, but the coalition says it is "making progress".
Shadow chancellor Ed Balls said the downgrade was a "humiliating blow" for the chancellor, urging him to act fast to "kick-start our flatlining economy".
But chief secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander said the government was getting Britain "back on track".
Ratings agency Moody's cut the UK's top rate to Aa1.
The agency, which is the first to downgrade the country's rating since 1978, said it had done so due to expectations that growth will "remain sluggish over the next few years".
This would be the same Ed Balls who presided over the ruinous tax and spend policies of Labour carried on by the coagulation who caused the damned problem in the first place. It's the equivalent of an arsonist advising that the best way to put out a fire is by pouring more petrol on it.
The government need to stop spending and cut back on the services it offers. It needs to reduce its total manpower size and STOP BLOODY SPENDING!
I mean if the average family behaved in a manner that this government (and the previous one) acted we'd be arrested or have the bailiffs around to try and recoup their losses. The morons are actually borrowing to repay debt and making sure that the next few generations are going to curse us to high heaven for landing them with our problem. They're going to get the keys to the house as part of their inheritance and find that the house is mortgaged to the hilt and that someone very unsympathetic actually owns it anyway!
The government of this country it seems is far to precious to be left in the hands of politicians, we need to hang them all now, followed by the lawyers and the heads of the civil services coupled with a side swipe at the BBC.
It can't come soon enough...

We only need to get it wrong once...

I'm beginning to wonder if our security forces are becoming stretched, through no fault of their own, but rather by the idiocy of politicians inviting in an alien and hostile culture amongst us. I do have a great del of admiration for some of the work the security forces do, though I believe that the best way to deal with the threats they face is at arms length, they should not really have to be dealing with the likes of this...
Telegraph.
Britain faces a new generation of self-starting “Nike terrorists”, the security services fear, amid alarm over the speed with which a gang of home grown extremists were able to find and gain support for a 9/11-style plot from the “heart of the beast” of al-Qaeda.
The terror cell hoped to kill hundreds of people with eight suicide bombers, armed with guns, in what would have been the worst terrorist outrage on UK soil.
The ringleaders now face life behind bars after yesterday being convicted of planning a terror campaign. But the security and intelligence services are concerned how two of them, with no apparent previous links to al-Qaeda, were able to quickly make contact with the terror group’s international arm in northern Pakistan to learn how to make bombs and poisons. The plot – which The Daily Telegraph can also reveal the plot was personally blessed by al-Qaeda’s number five, Abu Zaid al-Kuwaiti, who was killed in a drone strike last year – was the most serious since plans to blow up transatlantic airliners with liquid bombs in 2006.
Yet it does strike me that if our idiot politicians hadn't invited them or their parents in from cultures which clearly cannot or will not integrate or adapt to ours then our security forces wouldn't have to be constantly on guard and infringing the rights of the ordinary man/woman on the street with various governmental schemes to further intrude into the tatters of our civil liberties.
Then again perhaps this is exactly what the government wants, or rather those in power over us which sometimes includes the government and politicians and sometimes not. After all, what a godsend islamics were to them, clearly deranged, clearly dangerous and hell bent on aggravating the indigenous population into accepting ever greater security measures simply to keep them contained. It's certainly one explanation for the deliberate appeasement of islamics and muslims combined with permitting known world terrorists to live amongst us and recruit from the islamic community. Add to this the constant attempts to increase their power along with abuses against the indigenous population followed up by heavy handed legislation in answer to the cries of 'something must be done' means that sooner or later the islamics will drive us into accepting something extreme one day simply to rid us of their idiocy. Of such nightmares Nazi type final solutions are born and I have a sneaking suspicion that might be the end game plan. Someone rising up after an atrocity and herding us all into making the sort of diabolical mistake that still haunts Germany.
If I'm right then the islamics are playing right into the hands of those who wish to have control over every aspect of our lives, they'll pay the price as the majority willingly accept the cost of ridding us of them.
I hope I'm wrong, but even I can see the problem here and can't think of a civilised solution, not one that will work now.

Dhimmitude

When the islamic community reaches a certain tipping balance, I suspect that abuses like this will become more commonplace, though again, once this happens, I doubt it will be reported as rioting and murder will no doubt ensue if any sort of criticism is levelled at the barbarians in our midst.
Mail. (Usual caveats)
An Indian domestic worker was repeatedly raped and beaten by her employers who threatened to murder her if she complained, a court heard.
The 39-year-old vulnerable and illiterate mother-of-four was used as a 'sexual toy' and 'general dogsbody' by an extended family and their friend who forced her to become their slave for a total of six years.
She was scalded with boiling water, burned with a hot iron, beaten and threatened her throat would be cut and her body buried in a back garden if she didn't do as she was told, a jury were told today.
Despite the woman approaching numerous agencies for help, Croydon Crown Court heard how the abuse continued.
The court heard how the woman initially went to live with Aleemuddin Mohammed, 44, a supermarket manager, and his wife Shamina Yousuf, 42, after they successfully applied for the woman's visa.
Both are accused of assaulting the woman and paying her just £24 during the two years and eight months she worked for them.
The woman was then allegedly forced to moved in with Mohammed's mother, 56-year-old shop worker Shanaz Begum, and her partner, butcher Enkarta Balapovi, 53, who is accused of raping her.
After escaping the couple, she was then sent to live with an acquaintance of the family, optician Shashi Obhrai, 53, from Northwood, who is accused of assaulting her.
Prosecutor Miss Caroline Haughey said: 'Each of these defendants treated her with contempt, ignoring her basic rights and taking advantage of her naivety, her vulnerability and her ignorance.
Oh I'm sure that many will claim that this wasn't because of the religion or that it is rare and unusual, though when such cases do come to light it's usually an islamic involved. That's because slavery is the natural default state of the islamic mind for anyone not a muslim, even then some muslims if they are from different countries or tribes come under such a state, islam being top heavy from the Arabian peninsular perspective where a Saudi muslim trumps any other.
The state of dhimmitude as far as muslims are concerned is where the likes of non muslims belong, tolerated at best, there to be used and abused at worst and all justified by the abomination that is the quran. Women dhimmi's are of course the lowest of the low and simply there to be used by muslim uber-menschen which is why we have the current grooming scandal in the UK as the men perpetratng the outrage saw (and probably still do not see) nothing wrong in what they did, these young girls were theirs to do with as they wished, they weren't 'human' they were dhimmi's. Not so long ago there was a spate of kidnapping of young girls in Egypt, oddly enough they were all the daughters of coptic Christians, there was a cursory police investigation, but apparently they were all 'married off' to muslims and forced to convert so that was ok.
This is the type of mindset we have to deal with, a cancerous group think justified by a fascistic command and control handbook on controlling every aspect of their lives including how to treat the unter-menschen around them. That it makes no sense at times and has no place in the modern world makes no difference, it's from their supposed god so that makes it something to be done, besides it allows them to justify barbarism in the name of their religion.
There can be no place for islam in a modern society, the odd muslim perhaps, but not communities of them, in that way lies cultural suicide.

And whose fault is that?

Here we go, the UK 'must' be prepared to face a massive hike in energy prices because we're about to run out of power in the next couple of years. I mean you have to aske yourself just why we're running out and why all those nice shiny and expensive toys the government and enviroloons have been conning us into sticking up all over the place aren't going to make up the shortfall. After all, wind and solar are free once you get past the initial setup costs and the environmental disaster that is the huge concrete block a bird mincer stands on. After all weren't we promised by the now sacked and arch criminal Huhne that in the long run power would get cheaper etc...
Telegraph.
Households must prepare for a sharp rise in energy bills within two years as Britain comes “dangerously” close to power shortages, the chief executive of Ofgem has warned.
The country would become more reliant on foreign gas to generate electricity as European Union pollution laws meant the dirtiest coal-fired stations had to shut, said Alistair Buchanan, the regulator’s outgoing head.
He pointed out that gas was already 60 per cent more expensive in countries such as Japan that relied on imports. It was impossible to predict how high bills could go for British households, he said. Ministers admitted that Britain faced a “looming energy gap” but blamed the previous government for agreeing to shut coal plants too quickly. Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister, admitted that consumers could feel a “pinch” starting within two years. The Government was fighting to “keep the lights on”, he insisted. Mr Buchanan warned that the “near-crisis” would occur between 2015 and 2018, pushing up bills. Blackouts were “not likely” but there would be a “double squeeze” on energy prices.
So, the blame game starts, though admittedly in this case pointing the finger at the previous government is quite easy, they did start the green cash cow rollng by insisting on closing down coal fired (cheap reliable) power stations and filling their pockets full of taxpayers cash by building and subsidising useless solar and windpower schemes.
In the end though it always comes down to the taxpayer getting it in the neck as we pay the price for politicians putting greed and dogma ahead of common sense and an incredible lack of foresight. The fact that it's EU laws driving the lunacy is also a factor, though such laws don't apparently seem to be bothering the Germans as they build a massive series of coal fired plants to back up their birdmincers.
Still a solution has been found...
Mr Buchanan warned that it was very important for the Government to persuade people to use less energy.
A masterful solution is it not? Why do I suspect though that when it comes to people, Mr Buchanan means you and I and not the government or the powers that be?
I suspect when we're all sitting in our houses freezing in the dark in a few years time as we don't dare use the heating or electricity too much that our MP's will still be cosy and warm and telling us that 'we're' all in this together...

The grasping millipede

Millipede E was out and about in his beloved EU today trying to garner support to pick our pockets from other socialist (another word for thieves I think) leaders to make those of us who contribute to the EU's excesses pay more to fund the pipe dream of ever closer union penury.
Telegraph.
Left-wing leaders must unite across Europe to reject “collective austerity”, Ed Miliband has declared as he embarked on a tour of the region.
Austerity which is only necessary due to left wing overspending particularly in the UK due to in part Millipede's hand in it.
The Labour leader said the European Union was failing to work for its citizens and called for reforms to ensure that the single market helps reduce unemployment. Mr Miliband has already held a number of talks with Francois Hollande, the Socialist president of France, on how to tilt European economic policies away from deeper public spending cuts. On Monday, he met the Social Democrat Prime Minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, before travelling to Sweden. Later this week he will visit the Netherlands. After his meeting with Ms Thorning-Schmidt, over Danish pastries in Copenhagen, Mr Miliband said Europe should be reformed “now”, rather than waiting for “years” under David Cameron’s timetable for a referendum in 2017.
It's failing to work because of its socialist roots Millipede, not in spite of them. Socialism only works till other people's money runs out and we've ran out of money.
Also there's the r for reform word again, the EU is basically unreformable because basically there's no mechanism in place to reform it in a way which might work. Ever closer union means that what the EU takes, it does not give back. The only way to reform it is to destroy it and perhaps start again with saner objectives, you can pretty much guess how that will go down with the EUphiles, there's also the entrenched moneygrubbing aspects in the way too.
No, Millipede is spouting the same magic moneytree policies that have been tried and found wanting whenever a left wing government gets into power, they all fall foul of market forces and a total lack of feasibility in that whenever government gets involved, things take longer, cost more and never quite work the way anyone expects.
That's what Millipede E is selling.
I just hope no one is buying.

What's yours is mine...

There's something hypocritical about the Liberal democrats in that they appear to be neither liberal or democratic supporting state intrusion into our lives at all points with an unwholesome support for the mostly unaccountable EU in the process.
Their latest wheeze to squeeze the taxpayer is to go after family heirlooms and jewellery.
Mail. (usual caveats)
Families will be forced to pay tax on jewellery and other heirlooms under controversial new plans drawn up by the Liberal Democrats.
Under the scheme, tax inspectors would get unprecedented new powers to go into homes and value rings, necklaces, paintings, furniture and other family treasures.
Householders would be forced to pay a new ‘wealth’ levy on the assets – with the threat of fines for those who refused to let snoops value their possessions.
A policy document seen by The Mail on Sunday spells out how the taxman ‘may have to visit homes to test values of jewellery, paintings, etc’.
Now granted this idea has about as much chance of becoming law as a snowball's chance in hell but it does show you the mindset of those in power within the Lib Dems in that they see the rich or indeed anyone with money as a target, the politics of envy writ large in other words. Problem is that the Lib Dems have far more in common with the grasping comrades of the Labour Party and its constant war on anyone with cash, property, civil liberties and freedom of thought. They truly believe that the state is the best (and only) solution to all life's problems and to hell with anyone who wants to do things their way. despite the catalogue of state failures and inefficiency over the years practically from the founding of the modern state.
Their solution to everything is more control and more state spending and to do that they need to pick a pocket or several million to pay for their grasping schemes. I still run into the odd person who truly believes that the Labour Party are the party of the working class and that the Lib Dems are a protest vote of choice without actually looking at what those parties have ever done (recently) for the working class in mass uncontrolled immigration, high taxation and state intrusion into their lives. Sometimes it's a joy to watch the blinkers come off, most times though they cannot see just what they vote for.
Any party who advocates more control over our lives and more spending of our cash on things no government should ever be involved with (Yes Tories I'm looking at you too) should not receive our votes.
The Lib Lab Con should go with the rest of the dinosaurs quietly into extinction...

Master race/master religion

Some comments are just too good not to re-use and the blog title comes from a comment in the Telegraph to an article by Andrew Gilligan.
Telegraph.
Police have been accused of “covering up” a campaign of abuse, threats and violence aimed at “Islamicising” an area of London.
Victims say that officers in the borough of Tower Hamlets have ignored or downplayed outbreaks of hate crime, and suppressed evidence implicating Muslims in them, because they fear being accused of racism.
The claims come as four Tower Hamlets Muslims were jailed for at least 19 years for attacking a local white teacher who gave religious studies lessons to Muslim girls. The Sunday Telegraph has uncovered more than a dozen other cases in Tower Hamlets where both Muslims and non-Muslims have been threatened or beaten for behaviour deemed to breach fundamentalist “Islamic norms.”
A lot of muslims left islamic countries to escape from this sort of extremism, unfortunately they didn't leave their religion behind and new immigrants brought in extremism and their children were infected by the religious form of Nazism. Intolerance, misogyny, homophobia and ignorance all part of the islamic creed (and other religions have their moments too I know) yet only today does islam having never gone through (or unlikely ever too) enlightenment and reform to take a place in a decent civilised society. After all, they are beholden to the actual word of a god given to a desert warlord which cannot be changed or altered. As the words given allow the rape and murder of islam's enemies, their subjugation under a 'protection racket' designed to make them pay for their own safety, plus the knowledge that in any dispute with a muslim they are the loser. After all, what was good for old Mo is good enough for all who aren't muslims today. Not that muslims have that great a time of it within islam, just look at the hellholes they create for themselves today in the rest of the world and hope to do to us.
As a commentator said at the end of the article...
saulgone
Can't quite see much difference between a "master race" and a "master religion".
He's not the only one.

Squandering our money

We give far too much to the EU, we are after all one of the few who actually pay in more than we get out, so what do we do when we discover that the EU is giving our money away to countries not in the EU?
Well, seems we do nothing...
Express.
BRUSSELS bureaucrats have handed more than £100million to Turkey to build a high-speed rail link - in case the country joins the EU.
The staggering sum does not have to be paid back and there will be no return on the investment.
The cash is from a £12.1billion fund to support nations hoping to join the EU to which Britain contributes £120million a year.
News of the money for the rail link between Turkey's two biggest cities, Istanbul and Ankara, provoked outrage last night.
Tory MP Douglas Carswell labelled the EU's decision "bizarre".
He said: "Other countries that have given money to Turkey, such as China, expect a return on their capital.
"It is funny how a communist country understands the fundamental principal of capitalism while the EU elite are giving money to Turkey without looking for a return on their investment."
Except moan and continue to vote for political parties who are in love with that damned institution. If Turkey were to join the EU (something that I hope will only happen if we leave) the EU's current financial problems could be dwarfed and the internal immigration problems certain countries are experiencing could be come far, far worse. Yet no one in the EU or indeed it appears the UK government  appears to be able to heed the warning signs, perhaps they believe we'll welcome 70 million Turks in a similar way they appear to believe we'll welcome all those Romanians and Bulgarians? I suspect part of the problem is that the bureaucrats of the EU do not have to live next to the problems they create, a factor shared by many of the political classes in all of Europe. They have become divorced from reality and never see the consequances, it's always someone else who deals with the mess.
This is why they are so profligate with our cash, they haven't a clue where it comes from and how it affects us.
We should perhaps simply rise up and hang them all, before they bankrupt us.
Just a thought...

Own goals

Inflation is on the up though apparently (amazingly enough) much of it is the fault of our idiot politicians and their ever grasping nature.
Mail.
Sir Mervyn King yesterday accused the Government of scoring an embarrassing ‘own goal’ by pushing up inflation through green taxes and tuition fees.
The Governor of the Bank of England warned that the unprecedented squeeze on living standards will last for a further three years as prices rise and wages stagnate.
But, in a coded attack on ministers, he said much of the pain was ‘self-inflicted’ because it stemmed from big increases in energy bills and tuition fees.
‘Whether it’s on financing education, green policies or other policies, what they have done is push up prices and that clearly makes our job in the short-run more difficult,’ Sir Mervyn said.
Yes in their ever increasing attempts to make kids pay for adult education in universities along with the ludicrous claims that green energy is somehow going to save the planet from CO2 and we should be honoured to empty our pockets into their coffers it does appear that Mervyn King actually knows what and why it's happening.
Not that I expect ministers to take any notice other than to trot out a few cliches such as hard times and the needs of the planet etc.
What Mervyn King didn't say (but I am) is that we're being ripped off by greedy uncontrolled government who have it in their power to rid us of these hidden taxes and can bring inflation down to boot.
The green energy scam has been going on far too long and is enriching those in government who support it in the energy ministry. huge ugly bird mincers dot our landscape whilst the ones at sea corrode and fail due to the fact that they cannot be efficiently maintained. This plus the subsidies used to make them economic come out of the green surcharge as in any normal world they simply would be a failure due to market forces.
In no sane world would a nation dependant on keeping the power going use wind power as it simply does not work generally when it's needed.
Coldest days of the year = generally no wind.
No, we're being robbed and they know it and we know it, problem is they don't care and we don't seem to vote them out...

Two tier, two faced

There's definitely a two tier legal system in operation in the UK, it's often enough applied to minorities getting away with or receiving a lesser sentence than someone of the majority, but occasionally it's a member of the 'establishment' getting preferential treatment...
Mail. (usual caveats)
A woman police officer responsible for issuing fines to drivers for talking on their phone was using her own mobile when she was involved in a fatal crash, an inquest heard yesterday.
Collette Carpenter had the device on loud speaker and rested on her lap to have a conversation with her partner when she pulled out into the path of motorcyclist David Bartholomew.
The 54-year-old father-of-two collided with the side of Miss Carpenter's Peugeot 206, was catapulted into the road at Ferndown, Dorset, and died of horrific injuries hours later on March 20 last year.
When she was interviewed by fellow police officers, Miss Carpenter, 23, lied and claimed she hadn't been using her mobile phone at the time.
The special constable later said she had briefly taken an incoming call before changing her story again and admitted that she had been on the phone for her entire journey with the mobile on loud speaker on her lap.
She claimed that talking on loud speaker with a phone on her lap was 'the same as having a passenger in the car'.
A police accident investigator told the inquest that by using her phone, the off-duty officer had 'very likely' contributed to the crash.
Now most cases actually involve texting when causing an accident when using the mobile phone. However, it does make you wonder why she tried to lie about using it at first rather than go straight to the using it on speakerphone excuse. A more cynical person might just suspect that even the speakerphone excuse was just that, an excuse and the phone wasn't on speaker at all, though naturally proving such would be difficult.
The very fact that her story changed and she was caught in a web of lies you suspect should have been taken into account. Though it apparently wasn't and she walked free after killing a motorcyclist after pulling out at a junction.
One motorist who has been penalised in the past wrote on a local internet forum in response to the inquest: 'So much for Dorset Police's 'No Excuses campaign.
'I received three points for having my phone on my lap whilst on loud speaker so it must be an offence.'
As far as I can tell (I may be wrong) she didn't even get points on her license. I suspect that most of the people involved in the enforcement of the 'No Excuse' campaign do the very things that they prosecute drivers for, whether it be Police Officers, magistrates, speed camera operatives, Driver Awareness Course instructors, council officials and Councillors.
I may be wrong...

The most overused word in the bansturbators lexicon

And that word is 'could' it's frequently used in odd statistics to try and justify something being done which cannot be proven to be true under any circumstances.
Express.
25,000 lives could be saved if we cut salt
REDUCING the amount of salt we eat could save 25,000 lives a year, health experts said last night.
Deaths from heart disease and strokes would dramatically fall if shoppers checked the ingredients of everyday foods like bread and cereals.
Doctors blame the high levels of salt-laden processed foods we eat for pushing up blood pressure levels, raising the risk of heart disease.
They say most Britons have no idea how much salt they consume, or what the guideline amounts are.
These are pretty much the same group of people who came up with the alcohol unit recommendation, by plucking figures out of thin air remember?
Salt is necessary, the amount of salt in our blood equals that of seawater and this is no coincidence as evolution should you believe it infers that we descended from marine life, it's pretty much the same for all mammals, too much, you might die eventually, too little and you die quicker. Reducing your salt intake to zero as some idiots will try will actually kill you. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (May 4, 2011), reported that among 3,681 study subjects followed for as long as 23 years, the cardiovascular death rate was more than 50 percent higher among those on who consumed less salt. So using an actual scientific test for comparison it appears that doctors and the government in the UK are recommending a course of action that will actually kill us quicker than hypertension which might (just might) be exacerbated by salt but which salt doesn't actually cause. (Stress and misery are far more likely along with a genetic tendency to hypertension)
I have high blood pressure, my doctor and her nurse continually check it and recommend ever higher doses of something which might bring it down (no luck yet) Yet I feel perfectly healthy if a little old these days and when checking my diet they found I'm actually eating far healthier than they apparently do.
So junk science is being used with the word 'could' to try and justify ever greater intrusions into our lives by legislation which the cost of which will be passed onto us.
Perhaps when reading the word 'could' we should substitute 'probably will not' instead...

♫ When Irish eyes are crying ♪

Another day another England victory, though this was a far harder test than Scotland at home. England had not won in Dublin for ten years and our record against the Irish in recent years has not been that great, though the Welsh still can be considered our hoodoo team in the Six Nations. Still this was a (relatively) inexperienced England side (250 caps) vs a more experienced Irish one (500 caps) yet it didn't show at all in a scrappy first half not helped by the weather which led to a lot of handling errors though mostly on the Irish side of things. One major area of failing though for England was the line up throws, for some reason or other the communication skills were not so great yesterday and there were a lot of unforced errors though the Irish were unable to capitalise on them. Still England led at half time by 0 to 6 courtesy of some well taken penalties.
The second half started badly as a series of unforced errors led to Ireland getting three points back on the board followed up by equalising the score after James Haskell was given a yellow card for hitting the ball with his foot when attempting to leave a ruck. At this point with Haskell off the pitch for ten minutes you'd suspect a game change opportunity for Ireland and indeed they got one with England suddenly putting the lock down with two more penalties and an almost try for Tuilagi leaving the score at Ireland 6 : 12 England. It was a scrappy match and Ireland can complain about key injuries on the pitch, though they certainly could consider themselves lucky that Cian Healy remained on the pitch after a vicious stamp on an England players ankle during a first half ruck.
So a good victory for England, grinding out a result against an Irish side which dominated the possession, though did not look like scoring any tries and indeed very rarely looked threatening or able to gain ball possession in England's 22'. A mark of a good side is its ability to grind out results when the conditions or opposition make it necessary. This England side are not a great side yet, but it looks quite promising.

The enemy within

There have been warnings about hate preachers for a number of years now, though the MSM rarely if ever took them seriously. They were far more concerned with the so called 'thugs' of the 'far right' who as any examination of the evidence would show were neither thuggish nor far right in any way shape or form. Perhaps it was that these hate preachers were just preaching to minorities and small minorities at that, plus the groups they were preaching too were voting fodder and so protected by the powers that be under various bits of legislation and political correctness to the point where valid accusations of a two tier system of justice were being levelled at law enforcement and the judiciary. (Look up Emma West still untried after more than a year, still presumed guilty by some despite evidence that she was set up and the evidence edited to suit)
There are people who are out there preaching hate against us, and it's only now just becoming obvious to organisations such as Ofcom that the MSM have occasionally been complicit in helping them reach out to a far wider audience than they would normally be able to get too.
Telegraph.
The communications watchdog, Ofcom, has made a series of rulings against channels which allowed “inflammatory” material to be broadcast in breach of rules which forbid extreme opinions gaining a platform on British television. The cases, disclosed today, include examples of an imam telling viewers that those who disrespect the prophet Mohammed should be killed, and another broadcaster saying homosexuals should be beaten and tortured. The stations were found to have committed serious breaches of the broadcasting code by allowing the extreme opinions to be aired unchallenged. Last night experts warned that the extent and seriousness of the broadcasting breaches raises questions over whether extreme Muslim speakers who were previously confined to small audiences in mosques are able to reach thousands more people by broadcasting intolerant teachings on television. Although the channels have tiny audiences compared to the mainstream, they are targeted at Muslim communities, including people of Pakistani background, with some of the content being broadcast in Urdu and other languages.
Now if you or I were to make speeches telling others that gays were to be killed, unbelievers executed and that anyone who insults our religion should be massacred I suspect our feet wouldn't even touch the ground before we found ourselves in a prison cell awaiting trial for 'hate speech'
Just recently Lars Hedegaard a 70 year old European journalist who is critical of Islamic fundamentalism was visited by an assassin at his front door, the attacker was described as foreign looking, however two years ago Hedegaard was put on trial for discussing 'honour killings' in Denmark though the charges were later dismissed though nothing he said would have warranted a trial other than the Danish states attempts to appease.
In our country we have 'shariah' patrols in places like Tower Hamlets where non muslims are told that they are in a muslim area and attacked for 'disrespecting islam, attacks on gays have happened and also on people drinking.A week ago a young woman had acid thrown in her face by a veiled person, her crime? Possibly working for Victoria's Secrets.
For far too long the powers that be and our media have been brushing under the carpet and/or ignoring the hate coming from this minority because it suited their purpose. Oh I'll allow the usual caveats that it's not all the minority etc. But there are those amongst them sucking at a very dangerous extremist poison and are protected by the muslim community as a whole.
Even if we shut down the hate preachers, they'll continue to have their adherents and they now live in numbers amongst us.
If you aren't worried about this, then you should be.

Give it a rest

The University of East Anglia infamous for its Climate research Unit and its lying researchers has another waste of space working for its Media Studies Dept. Dr Brett Mills head of the dept wrote in European Journal of Clinical Studies that Sir David Attenborough's various wild life programmes do not show enough of the prevalence of homosexuality in the animal kingdom. You really can't make this stuff up...
MSN News.
A study carried out by The University of East Anglia has shown that Attenborough's BBC programmes do not depict enough gay animals.
The study, led by Dr Brett Mills, claims that the programmes too often create narratives of animal life based around the traditional heterosexual family unit, even though those animals may be gay.
Dr Mills says, 'Heterosexuality is upheld as the norm in wildlife documentaries and the idea of the family it presents is one which equates the family with heterosexuality.
'The central role in documentary stories of pairing, mating and raising offspring commonly rests on assumptions of heterosexuality within the animal kingdom.
'This is despite a wealth of scientific evidence which demonstrates that many non-human species have complex and changeable forms of sexual activity, with heterosexuality only one of many possible options.'
Now it may well be that certain animals are queerer than a queer thing being queer, however it's all down to interpretation of the commentator and researcher, it's not as if we can ask the animals now is it?

As you can see from Dr Mills' comments, he simply does not know what actually might be going on but is interpreting the data to suit his study rather than the observed behaviour of Sir David, it may well be that he's right, though I rather suspect that most people will go with Sir David and presume that Dr Mills has some form of axe to grind or is being funded to 'normalise' gay behaviour despite most of us not giving a damn and not wishing to have our noses rubbed into the constant litany of gay propaganda.
Media studies has a pretty bad rep when it comes to academic esteem and clearly Dr Mills is a leading light in its never ending search to plumb the depths of inanity by studying what people watch and reinterpreting it to fit the desires and agenda of the powers that be.
Then again, as with the CRU tape scandal, East Anglia university has a reputation for mercenary academic behaviour and following the money, churning out any old rubbish so long as the funding is there. As gay rights seems to be the big thing on the agenda with Cameron's government, it's not too surprising we're being hit with drivel like this.

Regulation

There are always some people with something to hide, be it from friends, family or in the case of (so called) celebrities and politicians pretty much everyone. That doesn't excuse attempts to get information about them illegally using the so called public interest get out clause if it's in the manner of snide gossip rather than criminal activity. But it doesn't excuse them attempting to rewrite the law to prevent legal scrutiny of their affairs, after all, the laws are already there it just requires the police to actually act upon them.
Mail. (usual caveats)
Free speech campaigners yesterday condemned a House of Lords amendment to introduce statutory regulation of the Press as an ‘unacceptable’ attempt to ‘hold the Government to ransom’.
Earlier in the week, an alliance of Labour, Lib Dem and rebel Tory peers passed the proposal to introduce an arbitration service for members of the public who have been wronged by the Press.
The amendment to the Defamation Bill raised the possibility that some of the most controversial aspects of Lord Justice Leveson’s report on the Press would become law by the back door.
Prime Minister David Cameron opposes statutory regulation of newspapers.
But Index on Censorship has condemned the amendment, proposed by Labour peer Lord Puttnam, the film producer.
The group, which has been campaigning to defend freedom of speech for 40 years, warned the proposal threatens the ‘vital’ Defamation Bill.
Now like a lot of people suspect, I believe that any tinkering with our limited freedom of speech has an ulterior motive, with politicians it's probably expenses and the occasional sex scandal, though I can't help wondering if the recent Huhne case might have been unearthed had the law been stricter.
Celebrities and politicians live off the back of publicity, they have to put up with the press scrutinising their lives in a manner which the general public as a rule do not. Such however is the price of fame and occasionally notoriety and frankly attempts to prevent the press reporting the bad along with the good make my hackles rise.
There are already laws in place to deal with libel and slander, we do not need more regulation, just better enforcement. After all, if you look at the current Savile case and the ongoing islamic grooming cases, there are ways for the general public to be kept in the dark for years if permanently.
If you lie down with lions, you have to take the occasional risk that you'll get gored if you do something stupid. Trying to remove the teeth and claws of the lions makes them something else entirely...

Humour (and the lack of it)

How many times must we reitterate the fact that no one has a right not to be offended?
As many times as it takes apparently...
Mail. (usual caveats)

A local councillor has been suspended for posting a comment on Facebook comparing Muslim children wearing burkas to bin bags.
Chris Joannides also messaged friends during meetings with his constituents asking for updates on football scores and complaining about missing his favourite television programmes.
The Conservative councillor for Enfield, in north London, has denied being Islamophobic and defended his comments as 'blokeish banter'.
Mr Joannides posted a photo showing a woman and child dressed in burkas standing next to two bin bags.
He wrote underneath: 'I saw her standing there and I told her she had three beautiful children. She didn't have to get all p***ed off and threaten me. It was an honest mistake!'
Tbh I found it funny, however as a Councillor he should have known what would happen next  when the multiculti humourless you're a racist cos you're white brigade get involved being offended in proxy for everyone wearing a burka.
Local resident Samantha Cox said: 'His comments might seem harmless, but they are incredibly offensive.
'He is comparing bin bags to Muslim children and that cannot be right, "blokeish banter" or not.'
Which suggests Samantha Cox needs a humour transplant too. Though perhaps she didn't see the picture, or is one of those people who believe that criticism via humour is racist/sexist/islamophobic.
No doubt Mr Joannides will utter a suitable apology (forced) and have this thrown in his face every so often by the opposition. But sadly another blow against freedom of speech will have been eroded again by those who get offended in our name...

Too little, too late

Some of the Lib Dems must be getting a tad desperate when looking towards the next general election. Down in the poll's becoming increasingly unpopular and having reneged on several electoral promises as part of the compromise they made to share power, they're discovering the price of that power.
It's very unusual for an elected party to remain in power indefinitely, the urge to meddle and form society along party doctrine usually ends up with them becoming increasingly unpopular as they move away from what ordinary people want into doctrinaire la la land. Some however see the writing on the wall and seek to distance themselves from the party by jumping onto the band wagon of popular causes...
Mail. (usual caveats)
Immigrant communities cannot adopt a ‘pick ’n’ mix approach’ to living in a liberal democracy, a Home Office minister will insist today.
Liberal Democrat Jeremy Browne will attack multicultural doctrines which have meant the state turning a blind eye to so-called ‘honour crimes’, forced marriage and female genital mutilation.
He will condemn ‘misplaced cultural sensitivities’ for a failure to tackle such issues in Britain.
Speaking at an event in the House of Lords, Mr Browne will warn that ‘thousands – perhaps hundreds of thousands’ of women and girls in this country are not enjoying the proper ‘benefits of living in our liberal society’.
He will add: ‘That is not because of some accident or oversight. It is because of a deliberate rejection of the emancipation revolution and the equal opportunities now afforded to women and girls.
‘This situation is wrong. It is unacceptable for the individual women and girls whose freedom and opportunities are stifled.
'And it is wrong for our society. There cannot be a pick’n’mix approach to living in a benign liberal country. The benefits must be universal, without exceptions or exemptions.
‘I do not believe that cultural relativism provides an excuse to opt out of our shared liberal social settlement. Everyone should enjoy the freedom to make their own choices, without the fear of social coercion.’
Well I've got news for you Mr Browne, the time for such words was back in 1997 when the previous government came in and opened the floodgates of immigration, introduced the Human Rights Act and inculated the divisive policy of multiculturalism and political correctness throughout the branches of the state to make damned sure that all cultures were to be deemed of equal value (save the mainstream one) and above reproach, investigation or condemnation from their critics. This is why Councils like Rotherham and their social services turned a blind eye to the grooming scandal of muslim males of Pakistani/Bangladeshi heritage using underage girls as sex toys for over a decade and in many cases blamed the girls for the exploitation because it was politically incorrect for them to actually blame the perpetrators for doing as their culture did. All cultures being equal and some being more equal than others. This is why we have 'shariah' gangs roaming London's East End beating up gays and telling any woman or drinker that they are in a 'muslim' area and such things are not allowed, because they've been allowed to think they can get away with it and be above criticism. It's why some poor woman who worked in Victoria's Secrets had acid thrown in her face by a veiled woman simply for working in a shop where underwear was sold and not wearing the full islamic marquee outfit as favoured by devotees of the religion of peace who believe the rest of us will either convert, pay protection money or die before they've finished with us.
All this (and more) could have been prevented by integration policies rather than multicultural ones where they were simply allowed to ignore the laws and standards of the country.
So sorry Mr Browne, you've left it too little too late to do anything about this save only in the most draconian of forms, the boil should have been lanced a decade ago, now it looks increasingly like amputation will be needed.

Value for money?

Why is it when airlines will offer bargain flights at ridiculous cheap fares do UKBA manage to get charters to take unwanted foreign nationals home at roughly £5,000 a head?
This is Kent.
DOVER MP Charlie Elphicke has exposed a £9 million bill picked up by the tax-payer to fly home failed asylum seekers and foeign criminals on private jets. The flights are costing a staggering £5,263 for every passenger.
The UK Border Agency has hired planes to return deportees to Iraq, Sri Lanka, Jamica, Nigeria and Afghanistan on seats which cost twice the price of a comparable first class fare.
Mr Elphicke said: "It is ridiculous - and people will be staggered by the cost. It seems inherently wrong that it costs £5,000 to send back people who had no right to be here in the first place."
Figures obtained by Freedom of Information requests and through parliamentary questions revealed that just 45 deportees were carried on each flight in 2011 and 2012. The total bill was £9 million.
Now I suspect these people don't go back unaccompanied, yet the cost does seem a tad excessive considering that you could simply use RAF transport and parachute the buggers out of the back of a Hercules. (parachute optional) over their country of origin. After all it might discourage them from coming here if they know they'll be 'unkindly' treated if caught.
Wishful thinking I know, there's this idiotic Human Rights Act in the way which means we have to treat criminals better than we do our own citizens. Yet it remains that the UK is a target for immigrants and criminals the world over because our border agency just gives up on trying to catch anyone and we have idiot politicians wanting to declare amnesty for them to boot.
The first thing to go should be the HRA.
Next, illegals get one appeal, then they are out on the next flight, handcuffed if necessary.
All their worldly goods sold off to cover the fare and some form of tracker put into them to prevent re-entry in a place that will leave an obvious scar if removed.
If their families want to go with them, fine, but they don't use them as an excuse to stay.
No legal aid for illegals, if you wish to appeal, it's your cost which will be refunded if you win.
Draconian? Perhaps.
But we need to send a clear message that if you come here illegally, you won't like it at all if you're caught.

And they think this is justice and want it introduced here

Shariah law is the law of islam and is often imposed upon islamic society by muslims. They think it's an equitable and fair way to live, the rest of us think it's medieval barbarism writ large, inflexible, misogynistic and violent. It also permits certain crimes to be committed by muslims that can be paid off by blood money. Naturally a crime against a muslim, the higher the blood money, a crime against the infidel assuming it even gets to court will produce nothing but a few coppers.
Naturally the idiots in our courts and the government along with the liberal left think it's a marvellous idea...
RT.Com.
Public anger has gripped Saudi Arabia after a prominent preacher who raped and beat to death his 5-year-old daughter was sentenced to a few months in jail and a $50,000 fine – known as 'blood money' – to compensate the victim's relatives.
According to Islamic law, the 'blood money' can be paid in lieu of the death penalty. The preacher's fine was reportedly half the usual amount because the victim was a girl.
Saudi preacher Fayhan Ghamdi, a frequent guest on Muslim TV networks, confessed to using cables and a cane to inflict the injuries, AFP reported, quoting activists from the group ‘Women to Drive.’
Ghamdi reportedly doubted that his daughter, Lama Ghamdi, was a virgin, and forced her to undergo a medical inspection.
In December 2011, Lama was admitted to hospital with multiple injuries, including a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, and extensive bruising and burns, according to the activist group. Hospital worker Randa Kaleeb said that the girl's back was broken, and that she had been raped "everywhere."
Just following the example of his false prophet Mohammed who had a penchant for related young girls too no doubt.
This is why we must fight shariah and attempts to imposition itself in our society. Why we have to decide whether we wish to allow islam to prosper in a civilised society and if necessary remove it root and branch from this country as being incompatible with decency and morality. Those who choose to give up their religion and integrate can of course remain, however if you wish to remain a muslim then you can be a muslim elsewhere in one of their wrecked societies which strangely enough they all seem desperate to escape from (can't think why) Problem being of course that they bring the cancer which wrecked those countries with them in the form of islam, though they strangely cannot see it.

Oh Calcutta

Ever since England Rugby's win against the All Blacks back in December of lasy year I have been looking forward to the Six Nations championship just to see if the promises hinted at during that final match of the Autumn  campaign were coming to fruition.
I was not disappointed.
Yes certainly there were areas in which England could improve, however the stupid mistakes and unforced error count which was almost sky high when England were in either their own or their opponents 22' were virtually gone and they have moved away from grinding down their opponents with endless frontal assaults to a game of rapid movement from the ball being moved quickly if possible out of the ruck's and mauls.
Yes it left them exposed at times particularly to a counter attack which Scotland were able to use magnificently on two occasions to get two very good tries, but in the end it left England dominating the field for long periods in which they were the ones forcing the errors rather than has been in the past having errors forced upon them.

The Calcutta cup
Btw, did anyone notice that England appeared to have a very young Brian Blessed playing for them?

Yes, him on the left

Moronic

I have a friend who buys wine because she likes the look of the label, not because it's any good (sometimes it is) or because someone recommended it, she occasionally goes off the bottle shape too. Other people will choose a product for many different reasons, not all of them having to make much sense, it's simply a method of choosing. In the same manner that trying to hide cigarettes or put them into plain packs won't work, it simply gives the bansturbators something to do to justify their existence, nothing more, nothing less.
Telegraph.
Bottles of wine and beer could display how many calories they contain to discourage people from drinking too much, under new Government plans.
Anna Soubry, a health minister, said officials have been in talks about “the possible inclusion of calorie content on labels” with the alcoholic drinks industry.
Ministers are concerned about the issue as an official study has linked the high calories of alcoholic drinks to people being overweight and obese.
They are separately looking at how to reduce deaths caused by alcohol and tackle anti-social behaviour fuelled by drink.
It is thought displaying calorie content could encourage those who watch their weight to moderate consumption.
Lager can be as fattening as a slice of pizza at around 250 calories per pint, according to the Drink Aware Trust.
Meddlers and bansturbators all. I doubt many of us (if any) give a damn what's written on the label so long as it's doing what it's supposed to be doing. Still, if there's a way to stick it to the public whilst justifying taking our money off us to do it that's what these people will do. They don't realise truly what a waste of space they are, they get off on power, not alcohol.
In an ideal world the government would not bother to stick its nose into our business, nor give taxpayers cash to fake charities like the Drink Aware Trust. They'd simply do their job of making sure that we don't get invaded and that there were few barriers to trade as well as making sure a few basic laws were maintained. If people wanted to get drunk, that was their business, so long as they weren't bothering anyone else by doing so. If they were, well there would be drunk tanks and courts if necessary, no relentless propaganda to tell them to give up something that helps them ignore the constant propaganda.
Perhaps people would drink less if they were happier?
Happier being less government and state interference in their lives.
It's a thought...

Come and see the madness inherent in the system

You'd think that having cheated the system you'd face some sort of penalty if you were on benefits. Then again judging by the amount of tales coming around you might not be all that surprised.
Express.
Britain's farcical benefits system was exposed yesterday after a cheating mother was told she can now claim twice as much rather than go to jail.
Joanne Gibbons, 23, fiddled £3,140 in income support while holding down two jobs, a court was told.
But after she was caught it was revealed the shop assistant mother-of-one was entitled to claim £130 a week – £64 a week more than the amount she was swindling the taxpayer.
Yes, that's right, she was actually saving us money till she got caught. Now, no prison and extra cash because she's entitled to more in the way of benefits.
No wonder that there are some out there who are quite happy making only a partial attempt to even look for work and not trying to get any. Yes, I realise that there are some out there who would simply just love to have a job, any job as it's a form of self respect. Yet the madness of the system means that in many cases they are actually better off not having a job. Whilst this woman might well have tried to keep on with her work whilst claiming extra benefits had she known they were available it does beggar belief that she could simply have given up the jobs and been on more money had she known to apply for it.
Something clearly needs to be done, but it won't, politicians will tinker, but they won't actually solve things.
They never do.
